Bostads AB Poseidon is looking for a Mentor for Young Editorial Team

Bostads AB Poseidon is a wholly owned subsidiary of Förvaltnings AB Framtiden, which in turn is owned by Göteborgs Stadshus AB, fully owned by the City of Gothenburg. As the city's largest housing company, we own and manage approximately 28,500 homes in Gothenburg. We work decentralised in seven districts, close to our tenants.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a perfect communicator as well as a leader? Do you want to make a difference by helping young people grow in the field of communication and contribute to an attractive Biskopsgården? We are now looking for a cool and action-oriented mentor for a part-time position in 2025.

In Handslaget Biskopsgården, we at Poseidon work collaboratively to improve socio-economic conditions and safety in Biskopsgården. The goal is crystal clear: to make Biskopsgården an attractive area characterized by optimism for the future, entrepreneurship, and opportunities for self-sufficiency. The focus is on three areas: strengthening children's and young people's school results, promoting a rich cultural and community life, and improving opportunities for work and livelihood. And that's where you come in!

We are now looking for an engaged and experienced communication-savvy mentor who will lead our new Young Editorial Team in Biskopsgården in 2025. The Young Editorial Team consists of a project leader/mentor and four young people aged 16 to 19 who work about 16 hours each per month throughout the year. The purpose of the Young Editorial Team is to serve as an extended arm of Handslaget's communication efforts by spreading information, creating reports, taking photos, and showcasing a positive image of Biskopsgården.

Who works within Handslaget?

We at Poseidon and the Framtiden group do this together with the Volvo Group, Willhem AB, the City of Gothenburg, the West Swedish Chamber of Commerce, DFDS, and Fastighets AB Balder. The focus is on three areas: strengthening children's and young people's school results, promoting a rich cultural and community life, and improving opportunities for work and livelihood. Together, we work for long-term, socially beneficial, and business-oriented changes in Biskopsgården.

What will your tasks be?

  • Mentor, guide, and support the four young people in the Young Editorial Team.
  • Ensure that the young people have the tools and resources they need to perform their tasks.
  • Be responsible for creating and maintaining a common platform for information dissemination.
  • Call and lead regular communication meetings with communicators from the various actors in Handslaget to ensure consistency and collaboration.
  • Ensure that the material is of high quality and relevant to Handslaget's communication efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

What do you need to bring?

  • Relevant education in media/communication.
  • Experience working with youth and mentoring.
  • Documented successful experience leading projects and coordinating activities.
  • Good knowledge of digital communication and social media.
  • Experience creating and maintaining digital platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience leading meetings.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate young people.
  • Creative and positive attitude with a focus on solutions.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Experience working in collaborative projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Driving license B is an advantage but not a requirement.
